Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 ears of sun-kissed corn tenderly shucked
  • A full cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons of sea salt
  • Half a teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons of freshly picked chopped parsley
  • 1 full cup of velvety heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Once the butter is melted, add in the corn, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir all the ingredients together until well combined.
  • Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes or until the corn is heated through.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the mixture.
  • If you prefer a more creamy texture, feel free to add in more heavy cream or even some cream cheese.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for larger gatherings.
  • Before reheating, sprinkle a little bit of water over the corn and cover it with foil in the oven to prevent it from drying out.
