Texas Roadhouse Grilled Shrimp Recipe

Texas Roadhouse Grilled Shrimp are easy to make at home and they taste just like Texas Roadhouse if you follow this copycat recipe!
You can cook them on the grill or in a pan, and they only take a few minutes to cook through. I like to serve them with a simple salad, seasoned rice or some grilled vegetables, and they make a great light dinner or appetizer.
It is a great recipe for your summer evening-night parties. The flavor of the combination of all ingredients makes your party amazing! It is easy to make, so you can cook it anytime you wish.

Ingredients

  • 11/2 pound large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp paprika 
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper To taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves for serving
  • 4 pcs Lemon slices for serving

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, oregano and paprika.
  • Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Make sure they are well coated.
  • Now, place the bowl in the fridge and let the shrimp marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to an hour.
  • Once the shrimp are marinated, preheat your grill pan to medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp olive oil.
  • Put 3-5 shrimp in a skewer stick and then place them on the pan.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they are slightly pink color and opaque.
  • Repeat the 5-6 steps for the remaining shrimp.
  • For the perfect finishing touch, garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley. Now serve and enjoy your delicious creation!

Notes

  • If you want to marinate the shrimp ahead of time, do so for no more than 2 hours. The acid in the lemon will cook the shrimp after that point. 
  • Whether or not to leave the tail on is entirely up to you. Aesthetically, having the tail makes it look nicer, but some people prefer eating them because they’re crunchy. If you’re serving them to others, be sure to ask beforehand!
  • Remember that the shrimp should not be overcooked. Otherwise, the nutritional quality of the food will not be maintained. If you’re looking for a healthier option, you could try oven-baking or grilling your shrimp instead of frying them. When I make the dish, I usually keep the dish healthier, not too cooked, or not undercooked. 
  • Try to use fresh shrimp. But frozen shrimp are also fine because they are usually frozen soon after it’s caught to preserve its freshness.
