Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1 cup of chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/3 cup of sliced red bell pepper
  • One 15-ounce jar of your favorite Alfredo sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped chives
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian parsley finely chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Heat Alfredo Sauce:

  • Pour the contents of the jar of Trader Joe’s Alfredo sauce into a medium saucepan. Turn the burner to medium-high heat. Once the sauce starts to bubble, reduce the heat to low to maintain a gentle simmer.

Step 2: Prepare Chicken and Garlic:

  • In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then, add the chopped cooked chicken to the skillet and sauté until heated through.

Step 3: Enhance Alfredo Sauce:

  • Transfer the cooked chicken and garlic into the saucepan with the Alfredo sauce. Sprinkle in the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Step 4: Heat Through:

  • Allow the sauce to simmer over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is thoroughly heated. This should take about 5-7 minutes to ensure all flavors meld together.

Step 5: Serve:

  • Once the sauce is hot and well combined, it’s ready to serve. Pour it generously over cooked fettuccini or your favorite pasta.

Step 6: Garnish:

  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the plated pasta. Then, garnish with sliced red bell pepper, chopped chives, and finely chopped Italian parsley for a burst of color and flavor.

Step 7: Enjoy:

  • Serve the enhanced Alfredo sauce pasta immediately while it’s still hot and flavorful.

Notes

  • – For a creamier sauce, you can add a splash of heavy cream or milk.
  • – Experiment with different protein options like shrimp, sausage, or tofu for variety.
  • – Incorporate additional veggies such as spinach, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes for added color and nutrition.
  • – Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will enhance the flavor of the sauce compared to pre-packaged grated cheese.
  • – Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences by adding herbs like basil or oregano.
