  • 2 pc bay leaf
  • 2 cups Jim dandy quick grits
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 7 tbsp of butter
  • 3 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 5 cups buttermilk or whole milk
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a medium-sized saucepan to medium-high heat and add bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 10 minutes.
