Whether it’s grilled, roasted, baked, or fried, chicken is always a hit. And this heavenly chicken recipe is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

My friend Alicia, who is a great cook, introduced me to the heavenly chicken recipe with sour cream. She told me this recipe is a must-try for anyone who loves chicken. And she was right!

The first time I tried it, I was hooked. The chicken was so tender and juicy, and the flavor was out of this world. I knew I had to get the recipe so I could make it for my family and friends.

Now, I make the heavenly baked chicken recipe all the time. It’s one of our go-to recipes for weeknight dinners or when we have company over.

Everyone always raves about how delicious it is, and I love knowing that I can take something simple like chicken and turn it into a dish that’s absolutely heavenly.

Trust us; this chicken dish is worth making again and again!

What is heavenly chicken?

The heavenly chicken with sour cream is a dish made with love. It’s dredged in garlic powder, salt and pepper. The chicken is then rolled in crushed Ritz crackers and drizzled with melted butter. The dish is then baked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

The chicken breasts are coated in a delicious cracker crust. This makes them so moist and buttery, which is the best part of this recipe.

This chicken recipe is by far the best one I have ever tried. Not only is it easy to make, but the chicken comes out moist and full of flavor. A definite keeper!

It only takes a few minutes to get this dish started. The key to its success is using quality ingredients and allowing the chicken to cook slowly so that it becomes incredibly tender and juicy.

This recipe would not be the same without both sour cream and Ritz crackers. These are the key ingredients of this recipe which makes the chicken moist and juicy.

Serve this chicken with some steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes for a complete meal that will have everyone asking for seconds.

  • Garlic powder – 2 tsp
  • Paprika – 1/2 tsp

To get the best taste, follow the instructions step by step.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  4. In a shallow dish, take the Ritz cracker crumbs.
  5. Dredge each piece of chicken in the crumbs. Make sure each piece of chicken is coated in crumbs on all sides.
  6. Take some melted butter with a spoon and drizzle the butter over the top.

Helpful Tip and tricks

1. When cutting the chicken into pieces, make sure all the pieces are of even thickness. You can use a meat mallet and plastic wrap to make your chicken even thick. This will help them cook evenly.

2. If using a marinade, pat the chicken dry before cooking it. Otherwise, the marinade will just make the chicken soggy.

3. Cook chicken on a preheated grill or pan for best results.

4. Use a meat thermometer to check if the chicken is cooked through.

5. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking before cutting into it. This will help keep all the juices in!

6. You can use seasoned breadcrumbs instead of Ritz crackers if you don’t have any.
