Where Did I First Try Dobash Cake?

Cooking Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. In a medium bowl, whisk together the white cake mix, baking powder, all-purpose flour, white sugar, milk, and water until fully combined.

In a separate bowl, beat together the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and egg whites until light and fluffy. In a third bowl, mix together the instant chocolate pudding mix, vegetable oil, milk, cream cheese, and butter until smooth.

Step 3

Pour the cake batter into your prepared pans and bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in pans on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then invert them onto the wire racks and let them cool completely before frosting.

Step 4

To make the frosting, cream together the confectioners’ sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Spread over cooled cake layers. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
